MWM DesignGroup is part of the design-build team led by Colorado River Constructors (CRC) for TxDOT’s Oak Hill Parkway project, a major upgrade to US 290 including non-stop main lanes and expanded frontage roads. MWM is responsible for the design and relocation of:
Over 17,000 LF of waterlines (8” to 24” in diameter)
More than 11,500 LF of wastewater mains (8” to 36” in diameter)
The utility design required extensive coordination across multiple disciplines, including stormwater, structural (bridge shaft placement), roadway, and dry utilities, to meet Utility Criteria Manual requirements or secure necessary waivers.
MWM ensured efficiency and responsiveness by phasing design packages to align with the permitting team’s capacity, conducting direct coordination meetings with reviewers, and adjusting work hours to stay ahead of the fast-paced, evolving demands of the design-build process.
