MWM DesignGroup provided comprehensive planning, architecture, civil engineering, historic architecture, and permitting services to the City of Cedar Park’s Parks and Recreation Department across numerous parks projects in Williamson County. As part of the initial phase of the Twin Creeks Historic Park project, MWM delivered specialized historical and architectural services focused on the King Log Cabin, a designated Texas Historic Landmark.
This structure, rich in cultural and historical value, had suffered from years of neglect, including an illconceived addition and restoration in the 1980s that compromised its integrity. Having been left vacant and only sporadically maintained, the cabin had fallen into significant disrepair. MWM’s involvement reflected a deep sensitivity to the preservation of historic resources, providing the critical assessments needed to guide thoughtful restoration and long-term stewardship of this landmark.
