MWM DesignGroup provided design and restoration services for the Sendera Wet Pond, focusing on liner restoration, outlet structure retrofitting, and pond revegetation in accordance with City of Austin environmental standards. The project included:
Installation of a 16 oz/yd² nonwoven geotextile cushion and 60-mil textured LLDPE geomembrane liner
Placement of 12–24 inches of protective cover based on pond depth
Retrofit of the outlet structure and installation of rock riprap aprons
Revegetation of pond edge, marsh, and deep-water zones using a planting palette tailored to site conditions and vetted for availability
Regulatory calculations to support the proposed planting design
Design and coordination of signage and fencing to protect an on-site critical environmental feature
Collaboration with City of Austin staff to develop non-standard specifications for wetland planting and long-term maintenance
MWM’s work balanced technical performance with ecological sensitivity, delivering a sustainable and effective pond restoration solution.
