MWM developed a plan and preliminary design for the replacement of amenities in Pfluger Park, beginning with a floodplain analysis that confirmed the existing restrooms were located within the Gilleland Creek floodplain. MWM coordinated with the floodplain administrator to evaluate redevelopment options and ultimately recommended reconstructing the facilities at their existing location and elevation as the most cost-effective solution. The proposed design included waterproof and flood-resistant construction below the 100-year floodplain, with all building systems elevated above it.
