Hornsby Bend Health & Wellness Center

MWM DesignGroup provided planning, civil engineering, and permitting services for the Hornsby Bend Community Health Center, located in southeast Travis County within the City of Austin’s ETJ. The development is sited on approximately 3 acres of a larger 10.6-acre tract characterized by dense vegetation. Phase I of the project included a 7,500-square-foot clinic focused on primary, mental, and behavioral health care, along with outdoor community amenities. Future phases are planned to include up to 20,000 square feet of additional healthcare space. Services provided included: Coordinating with Central Health staff to plan the site for future expansion; designing a service extension request for water and wastewater with the Hornsby Bend Water District; managing permitting with the City of Austin, Travis County, the Travis County Fire Marshal, and the Hornsby Bend Water District; and designing playgrounds, trails, and a community garden for both current and future development.
