MWM DesignGroup provided civil and field engineering design and construction for improvements along Exposition Boulevard from Bonnie Road to West 35th Street, creating a fully ADA-accessible route on both sides of the street from Lake Austin Boulevard to West 35th Street. The $2 million project, funded by the 2016 and 2018 Mobility Bonds, included:
Over 15,000 linear feet (3 miles) of new or rehabilitated sidewalks
Nine pedestrian crossing upgrades with seven new crossing islands
Installation or repair of more than 40 curb ramps
Over 1,000 feet of new curb and gutter
Intersection reconfiguration at Bridle Path and Exposition Boulevard, closing a slip lane to improve safety with vegetation replacing pavement
An 8-foot-wide shared-use path on the west side from Gilbert Street to Bonnie Road
Reconstitution of 50 residential and 12 commercial driveways
Relocation of 40 mailboxes
