Bohls House

City of Pflugerville

As the Prime Firm, MWM DesignGroup provided professional design services pertinent to securing a building permit and participating in the construction administration for the reconstruction of the City of Pflugerville’s Bohls House. The Bohls House was built in the early 1920s and was once the residence of the Bohls family. In 2013, the house was moved to Heritage Park from its original location on SH 130 to serve as the new headquarters of the Pflugerville Parks Department. The Bohls House Facility Improvements included the renovation and adaptive re-use of an existing historic house to become the new headquarters of the Pflugerville Parks Department. The project was planned to include comprehensive accessibility and compliance upgrades, including the replacement of all building fixtures and systems. This work was carefully coordinated to allow for the preservation of surviving interior features and finishes wherever possible, with the new work localized in areas of the building that do not retain their historic appearance. The result is a beautifully restored, efficiently designed headquarters, delivered at a significantly lower cost than new construction alternatives.
