MWM DesignGroup provided field engineering services to relocate ACC Riverside’s on-campus bus stops to the public right-of-way along Grove Blvd, using layout plans provided by the Austin Transportation Department. The project included the design and construction of a new Capital Metro Transit Hub at 1020 Grove Blvd. Key improvements included:
New colored bike lanes, shared-use path, and ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps
Bus shelter pads, benches, litter containers, and solar-powered lighting and security cameras
Over 13,000 SF of reinforced concrete paving for bus pads, drive lanes, and a cul-de-sac
Irrigation repair, utility relocation, signal modifications, and traffic control with signage and barriers
This high-profile project was completed in just 60 days and required close coordination with multiple City of Austin departments and Capital Metro.
