MWM developed a plan and preliminary design for the replacement of existing amenities in Pfluger Park. Verifying that the existing restrooms were located within the floodplain of Gilleland Creek, MWM worked with the floodplain administrator to identify viable alternatives for redevelopment. Following these consultations, MWM recommended the reconstruction of the facilities at their existing location and elevation as the most economical solution. MWM proposed that the elements of the buildings that would be below the 100-year floodplain be of waterproof and flood-resistant construction, and that all building systems be installed above this elevation.
