Project Description

As a subconsultant, MWM provided site civil design and surveying services in support of the LCRA Red Bud Center (Emergency Operations Center).

Services Provided

Civil services provided for the Red Bud Center include Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation (including site development permit), Bidding and Construction services for this ongoing project. MWM evaluated site constraints for LCRA including LEED criteria, potential site remediation issues, City of Austin Site Development Permitting requirements, water quality design issues, existing utilities, security, parking, and compliance with TCEQ stormwater pollution prevention requirements.

MWM also provided topographic and tree survey as part of our LCRA Surveying Services Prime Contract, for the 13.4-acre site adjacent to Tom Miller Dam. Survey services include location of surface features, tree survey, contours, research and location of underground utilities, establishing of primary horizontal and vertical control, and boundary survey. The LCRA project, on land leased from the City of Austin, required the research and review of over 200 instruments, due to the lack of recent surveys of this City owned property.
